This is a set of guidelines to ensure uniformity throughout the Frostpunk series' wikis. It will be helpful if the Frostpunk Wiki and the Frostpunk 2 wiki have the same basic structure.

Creating a Page

Try to stick to the vocabulary used by the game. Page titles should use title case: everything should be capitalised except articles (e.g. "the", "a", "an"), short prepositions (e.g. "in", "of", "for"), and short conjunctions (e.g. "and", "or", "but") that are not the first word (the first word should always be capitalised regardless of its part of speech).

Links

Linking to other pages on your page, and adding links to your page on other pages, will help people find the information they're searching for.

Capitalise links to pages using the same title case as the page title: write "Extraction Districts", not "extraction districts".

Spelling and Punctuation

Like Frostpunk 2 itself, this wiki uses British English spelling, often labelled in software as "English (GB)" or "English (United Kingdom)": write "labour" instead of "labor", "capitalisation" instead of "capitalization", et cetera. If your web browser's spell-check is currently set to American English,

• Firefox: add a "British English Dictionary" Add-on, and switch to the new dictionary in the right-click menu in any text-entry field
• Chrome: add "English (United Kingdom, Oxford English Dictionary spelling)" to your "Preferred languages" settings and toggle on "Use spell check for" that language in your "Spell Check" settings
• Edge: add "English (United Kingdom, Oxford English Dictionary spelling)" to your "Languages" settings and turn on "Basic spell check" for that language in your "Writing assistance languages" settings

Use the Oxford comma (a.k.a. serial comma) for lists of three or more things: write "resources like Coal, Oil, and Steam", not "resources like Coal, Oil and Steam".

Use a single space between sentences, not two spaces.

When writing about something decreasing (e.g. "−8 Disease"), use a minus sign (−) instead of a hyphen (-).
