Skyways are used to transport significant amounts of Resources across the Frostland.

Linking an Outpost to The City using Skyways can increase its Resource Output if the Outpost is able to produce more of a resource than Trails can carry, and establishing a Skyway connection also improves the shipping capacity of Resource Transfers between your City and Colonies. Those bonuses only apply if the connection from one location to another is constructed entirely using Skyways.

Skyways need to be researched in the Idea Tree before they can be constructed.

Constructing Skyways costs 50 Heatstamps and 20 Prefabs per route segment, and each segment takes 1 Week to complete. Multiple segments can be constructed as one task, and each construction task requires 10 Frostland Teams regardless of how many segments it contains. A construction task must start and end at either a connection point (represented as a pin with golden ripples around it on the map) or any part of an existing Skyway/Trail connection.

Skyways can be constructed on top of existing Trail lines to replace them. When constructing a connection from scratch, Skyways can have longer segments than Trails can.

A connection consisting entirely of Skyways can transport up to 600 units of any Resource at a time; that amount can be increased by unlocking Freight Dock buildings in the Idea Tree and constructing them in Logistics Districts.
